Freelancer vs Web Agency in Spain & LatAm: €800 vs $8,000

How to read a Spanish-market quote — solo freelancer, a two-person “agency”, or a studio with a process — without buying an empty €790 pack.

Freelancer or agency for an SMB website?

Freelancer if the job fits in one head and you can wait. A real agency if design, front-end and someone covering sick days matter. Spanish-speaking markets are full of a third animal: a salesperson plus a subcontracted freelancer plus a €790 pack. That is a markup, not a team.

What the €790 pack hides

Stock, “we are passionate” copy, a slider, and a €49/month plan that does not include backups. Cheap on day one. Expensive the day you run ads.

Paying €800 to someone good can be the year’s best deal. Paying €800 to a pack pretending to be an agency is how you buy a site you cannot advertise.

When BLEX is the wrong room

Business card, no content, no reply channel. A local freelancer is more honest. When the site is a channel, a written scope is cheaper than three rebuilds.
