Pre-Launch Website Checklist: 47 Points Before Going Live

A 47-point pre-launch checklist for business sites: content, SEO, forms, legal, speed, and the boring failures that make a “finished” site unusable on day one.

Written and reviewed by Artem Palamarchuk, Founder of BLEX STUDIO.

What should you check before a website goes live?

If a stranger cannot complete the one job the site exists for — on a phone, without calling you — it is not ready. Pretty in staging is not launched. This list is what we run before a BLEX site hits DNS.

Content and offer (1–10)

The first screen states who it is for and what to do next

Service pages are unique — not the homepage copied six times

Proof is real: names, photos, numbers, or work

Contact details match Google Business Profile

404 page explains and points to contact or search

How long does a pre-launch QA take?

A focused business site is usually 1–3 days of QA plus fixes. Migrations need more because of redirects.

Do we need all 47 items?

You need every item that applies. Skip chat if you have no chat. Do not skip forms, HTTPS, or the first screen.

Can we launch on a Friday?

Only if someone is awake all weekend. Monday cutovers are kinder to inboxes.

What if we already launched?

Run the list anyway. Most “the site is live but leads dropped” tickets fail items 21–32.

Is this the same as an SEO audit?

SEO is a slice. This list is go-live. A deeper SEO pass is ecommerce SEO or a SEO audit.
