A SaaS site is a different problem than a corporate website
A corporate website has to explain who you are. A SaaS website has to prove, in under thirty seconds, that a specific person's specific problem gets solved by this specific product — and then move them toward a trial, demo, or signup before they lose interest. Houston has a growing base of SaaS founders building for logistics, energy, healthcare, and construction tech, and most of them make the same mistake: treating the marketing site like a brochure instead of the first step of the funnel.
The structure that actually converts
Hero section — one sentence naming the specific outcome, not a vague mission statement, with a single primary action (start free trial, book a demo) above the fold
Social proof immediately after — logos, a specific metric, or a short quote from a real customer; unknown SaaS products need trust signals before anything else
Problem framing before features — show you understand the exact pain the visitor has, then map features to that pain instead of listing capabilities in isolation
Pricing that's honest and easy to compare — hidden pricing pushes qualified buyers away just as often as it filters unqualified ones; if tiers are complex, a clear "starts at" number still helps
One demo or trial CTA, repeated, not competing with five other buttons — a page with "Sign up," "Book a demo," "Contact sales," and "Learn more" all fighting for attention converts worse than one clear path
